In July 2017, I had the chance to travel internationally for the first time to the subcontinent of India. From its vibrant clothing, varied spices in the local cuisine, the many languages of the different provinces, and the extreme levels of disparity of wealth in Kolkata, India is a land of contrasts. Kolkata, a major city in the state of West Bengal, is one of the areas where the organization I filmed for is based. They enact community transformation and change through bettering people's lives and their stories. Below is just a glimpse of what it was like.
